Quote of the Week

“Hello, this is your planet talking. I know you don’t pay much attention to me, but i think it’s time you listen up. I’m not just a backdrop for your concerns, a stage to play your dramas on, or your comedies. See, i think you’re funny, a lot of the time. I’ll almost miss you when you go; but not really, no, not the way you’ve been behaving.

You think you’re kings–well, so did T Rex and the rest of the dinosaurs; so did the trilobites. One king steps up, gets powerful, runs things for a while–or thinks he does, anyway. meanwhile my machinery keeps cranking along as I keep dancing around the sun and we both keep whirling around the galaxy.

Your problem is, you don’t think long enough–you should try it sometime, it’ll give you a healthier perspective. Bye now, I’ve wasted enough time talking to you–i probably could’ve saved my breath; you won’t listen, anyway.”

Editor in Chief is Dennis Fritzinger:

Dennis Fritzinger co-founded the Warrior Poets Society in 1992 and went on to edit Earth First! Campfire Poems with Karen Coulter and Dwight Metzger, as well as publish a book of poems Branded With Desire with co-author Karen Coulter.

Dennis enjoys hiking, camping, writing, reading, and fighting for all that is wild. The wilderness is in his blood, and growing up in a military family has made him an indefatigable fighter for endangered species, ecosystems, and the rest of wild nature.

A born editor, he considers it his mission to empower other warrior poets by publishing them wherever and whenever possible. He sums up his philosophy with two words: “Earth First!”
